HIFU works by combining ultrasound energy with heat. Ultrasound and heat penetrate the skin's surface, delivering targeted energy directly to the deep structural tissues and muscles of the skin. As new fibers begin to regenerate, collagen production increases, resulting in a tightening effect from within. The HIFU transducer emits 60-70ºC of HIFU energy into the skin, causing thermal coagulation of the targeted layers of skin tissue without damaging the skin's surface or surrounding tissue.
